Our Family Christmas Tradition

Three years ago, Cassi and I thought it would be fun for the kids to visit Santa together and then have lunch at our favorite Mexican restaurant.
The Garden Nursery which hosts Santa also sells Christmas trees...with names.  On our first visit we found a tree named Abe, so you can imagine tree shopping at Petitti's has now become a family tradition.

Abe was telling us all to be quiet so we could hear the Reindeer Bells...
I know I heard them.

Abe and his fascination with machines...so much fun to observe.

Abe found just the right tree and this one was named Buddy.

Amy and Noah were happy with their tree too!

Scott and Brooke and their FIRST Christmas tree as a couple...

Abe decided to do some exploring and he was thrilled to meet some new friends.

He especially liked all the dinosaurs.

My beautiful sisters, Cassi and Kate.

And then...
Abe announced to all of us Santa Claus had arrived.

Abe had a change of heart about visiting Santa.  Noah told him that was just fine and I thought...like father, like son.  Noah didn't enjoy visiting Santa either.

But...
On our way out, Abe really liked spending a bit of time with this Santa and his tiny reindeer!

Time for lunch...
 Family gatherings are the best!

Abe and Keith are the closest of cousins!

Keith has a special way of communicating with Abe...
~Love~

We just had to celebrate Amy's birthday which is later this week.
Happy Birthday to one of my MOST favorite people!!!

Later at Brooke and Scott's house...
Abby and Brooke's latest stuffed animal she found at Petitti's are not sure about this tree IN their house.

Joe helped Scott put the tree up...Now for the lights, ornaments, and tree skirt!

And then...
Scott had a surprise for Brooke!

Brooke loves the Minions and well...She got a really big one!

Later that night...
Noah sent us a picture of their beautiful tree...completely decorated with the help of Abe!

One day later...
Joe put the lights on Scott and Brooke's tree and they hope to decorate it very soon.
It is amazing how having a 3 year old in your house makes such a huge difference!

~It was the best of family times~
