Abe's Adventure...Day Five

Day Five was all about Phipps Beach.
Abe took it all in...body and soul.

Phipps Beach is more of a local beach...

Look at that sand...

Noah got the kite in the air and Abe insisted he could fly it...

My turn, Daddy!

Up, up, and away...

Abe loved this new experience...

Oh, the joys of open spaces...especially at the ocean's edge.

Amy and Abe had fun making sand molds.

This is what a vacation is all about...

Later...
Noah and Amy went shopping to gather supplies for dinner.
Noah made a delicious meal to thank Noelle and her family for their unbelievable hospitality...

Abe's Florida Vacation...Some More of Day Three and Four

On Day Three, Abe spent time with some pelicans.

Trying to get up close and personal...
Noelle has such lovely hair.

Friends for a moment in time...

Day Four
Amy, Abe, and Noelle had lunch at Mulligan's...a place on the beach and Abe had a banana split, which is Grandpa Joe's very favorite!

Imagining I am there...

Two VERY happy beachcombers...

Florida's beauties.

Meanwhile...
Noah and Noelle's dad, Terry, went on a deep sea fishing adventure.

Noah was beyond excited...The Old Man and the Sea is one of his favorite books and Noah felt a bit of a kinship with Ernest Hemingway on this day.

Noah had the time of his life!

And he even caught a yellow snapper!

Later...
Back at Noelle's very cute house...

A game of badminton was enjoyed by everyone, but especially Abe!

Abe's Florida Adventure...Day Three

Abe ordered a fruit and yogurt concoction for brunch at the Kona Beach Cafe.
I do believe he had some help eating it...

Noelle took Noah, Amy, and Abe to the Manatee Lagoon...an Eco-Discovery Center in Lake Worth.

They did get to view a manatee leaving the Lagoon.
Such a wonderful experience!

Later at Noelle's home...
Abe seems to be having a conversation with Barney and I wonder what Barney is thinking.

It was a day of play in sunny Florida.

~Oh, to be Abe this week~

Moving Day

~Goodbye, New York~
Hello...Tennessee!

The Shafer Family had quite a few amazing years in Syracuse,
but it is time to close that chapter and start a new one.

Pixie Cottage

My beloved Pixie Cottage is in the process of being renovated.
Joe has all the material for our new little deck.
Now he just needs some free time...

I thought it would be nice to hang all of my Calendar Boards on the walls and Joe can just move them by the side door of our farmhouse during the appropriate month.
Thank you, dear Joe!

Joe put back together my childhood dining room table and I want to use it for writing and drawing.
We found just the right carpet, but Joe wants to thoroughly clean the floor first.
It is coming along!

~Happy~

Fun Fact

On average, 350 squirts of milk are needed from milking a cow to make a gallon of milk.

Abe's Florida Adventure...Day Two

Abe enjoyed a HUGE slice of Downtown Pizza before his next beach adventure.

Noah sent me this picture because he knows I shopped at this grocery store chain with three generations...

Beach fun with Mommy...

Getting ready to Boogie Surf Board after a lesson from Daddy...

Abe got the hang of it!
Our surfer boy...

Seagull time...

 Bird watching and walking...

Me and my shadow...

Back at the house...
Abe and Jay...Noelle's boyfriend...decided to create a Universe.

And with a little help from their friends and family...they did!

A perfect ending to another perfect day in Paradise...

Spring Firsts

Lewis found his first Dandelion of the season!
He loves this YELLOW "flower" most of all...

Polly and Ginny heard their first frog jump into the pond today.
But they haven't spotted their green friend yet...
Patience.

Abe's Florida Adventure...Day One

 The day has finally arrived!
Noah, Amy, and Abe are off to Lake Worth, Florida to visit their good friend, Noelle, and her family for their Spring Break.
Abe loved taking the shuttle from the garage to the airport.

Abe's play includes many airplane adventures and by the look on his face I am sure he is in his own kind of Heaven.

I would say the Akron-Canton Airport is child friendly.

Noah sent me this poster because he knows how much I love Jane Goodall.
I actually met her years ago before her fame and we corresponded several times.

A few hours later in Lake Worth...
Abe walked Barney the dog around the yard with Noelle's dad.
Palm trees...be still my heart!

Their first order of business was a trip to the beach.
Love the Floridian vegetation.

Paradise...

 Our fair haired beach boy...

 Catch me if you can!

Father and son.
My heart is so happy for the memories they are creating.

Their perfect day was topped off with a steak and salmon feast back at Noelle's house.

Noah, Amy, and Abe are definitely having the best of times...
