The Labyrinth Totems

So...Joe and I had an idea...imagine that!

It all started with a 10 foot 4x6 post.

 And then I painted...

And painted some more.

Decorations for the front of the totems...We will continue to add more as we find them!

 Joe measured...

And attached all the knobs and little art pieces.

The ground was way too dry to dig a 2 foot hole!

A bit later...
 A power digger was rented!

Joe loves machines...

Time to bring down the totem...

Joe is a master cement mixer!

Set up time...

Introducing our Labyrinth Totems!
The North Totem

The South Totem

 The East Totem

 The West Totem

It was the best of projects.
Thank you, Joe...We make a wonderful team!

Abe's Adventures

Abe enjoyed a trip to the zoo recently.

Our grandson especially likes the elephants...and lions and tigers and giraffes and monkeys, etc.

Abe is ready for the football season...
Go Buckeyes!

Abe wanted this little Hittyville chihuahua with all his heart and sent me a picture to let me know he is taking good care of the puppy!

Abe "helped" his parents clean out the garage in readiness for their new car.

Abe loves his Grandpa Joe...so does Ellie.

Joe is talking like a pirate and Abe thinks that is too funny.

Now they are both talking like pirates and pretending they have eye patches.
Kids come in all shapes and sizes!

On the Farm...
Abe and Joe spent some time with the goats.  Abe is becoming a real farm boy.  He likes exploring in the barn and is even sitting on Joe's big tractor and thinking he is almost ready for a ride.

Abe had quite a conversation with David...

At the end of his busy days, Abe is loving his baths once again.

This summer we saw so many changes in Abe.  Three is a challenging age because children are caught between their desire for independence and their need for dependence.
One minute, all is right with the world...and the next minute everything explodes into a thundercloud.
Some moments, we shake our heads...but most moments we understand, love, and cherish the little being who is Abe.

~Love~
