It all started with...
Emily Fanning's graduation party! Emily was one of my favorite preschoolers and I was honored to have been invited to her party. I took Brooke along as my "date". Brooke teaches with Emily's mom.
And then...
We had a wonderful conversation with another party goer...Nicole Ratliff! Jacob, Natalie, and Nicole are all former preschoolers and I love them dearly.
It turns out the Ratliffs were looking for a home for their adopted Shih-Tzu!
Abby was mostly black...like Brooke's beloved Tibs...also
spayed, housebroken, loving, and in need of a home where she would get LOTS of love and attention.
Brooke believed with all her heart Abby needed to be hers!
The next day...
Abby moved into her new home!
Brooke is beyond happy and so is Abby.
She is getting groomed on Saturday with the other five family dogs!
We love our dog groomer and friend, Betsy!!!
Scott helped Joe put up a temporary fence.
Abby was a bit hot after all this excitement!
Shih-Tzus need lots of water.

Abby loves him already...

The day before...
Joe spent hours putting this IKEA shelf together...with a bit of help from Scott, Brooke, and myself.
And then there were those three block shelves to assemble.
Are we done yet?
It was the BEST of weekends for so many reasons, but mostly because Abby has found a home!
