Christmas Morning in West Park

 Merry Christmas!

Abe was so excited to open his gifts.

Santa was very good to Abe and Ellie seemed to agree.

The day before...
Noah had reorganized his entire kitchen in preparation for our Christmas Brunch...

A bit later...everything was in place.

When we arrived at Noah and Amy's home, the fruit potpourri was simmering away and the aroma was heavenly.

After a quick hello, Joe and Scott unpacked our car.

 Ready...set...go!

Round two of present opening...

Abe loved all of his gifts and made sure he said "thank you" to each and every one of us.

Abe made Joe a banana split.

Notice the shppping cart on the right.  Abe loved it as much as I hoped he would!

And to truly play "shopping", you need a cash register.
Thank you, Brooke!

And then...
Noah made the most delicious Brunch and I cannot believe I did not get a single picture.  Noah couldn't believe it either!  We were all so hungry and I was more concerned with enjoying the meal than taking pictures of it.
Next year, Noah.  I promise.

Menu...
Fresh fruit bowl
Homemade banana nut bread
Breakfast Pizza with maple sausage, eggs, and cheese
Assorted beverages

With full stomachs...
The grownups opened their presents.
Brooke got Noah a moose...Dad often called Noah "Moose"'
It was a bittersweet, yet happy moment.

Abe spent some time with Grandpa Joe...

And Scott...

And Auntie Brooke...

Too cute!

Craft time...
Abe painted his dinosaurs and was very deliberate about it.

Brooke and I helped Abe make a couple of ice cream cone Christmas Trees.
Abe was far more interested in eating Fruit Loops than creating his tree.

 Finally...

Abe and Mommy had some play time.

Time to change gears...
The weather remained unseasonably warm and Abe asked Grandpa Joe and Oma to go outside.
Buddies.

Joe is such a good teacher.  He knows just how to explain things to Abe.

Abe wanted to give the rings a try.

 Maybe next time...

Abe kept wanting to go higher.  He loved his swing time with Grandpa Joe.
It was just about time to head to Johnny and Corey's for Christmas dinner.

This collage was one of my most treasured Christmas gifts and represents what Family Christmas Gatherings mean to me...

~Experiencing and capturing precious moments and holding them close to my heart~
