Abe's Second Thomas the Tank Engine Adventure

Joe, Brooke, and I met Noah, Amy, and Abe in Peninsula, Ohio for our long awaited Train Day.

Our first stop was the Trail Center for the Cuyahoga National Park where Abe found his new friend, Coyote.

We visited an art gallery before lunch.

I would love to have one of these bells on the farm!

Loved the pottery workshop in the gallery!

Time for lunch and it was delicious!

Joe and Abe visited the iguana.

And then...
Off to the Train Tents.  A little bit of rain did not dampen Abe's spirits...or ours.

 A happy family...

Time to change tables...Where to go?

Brooke ran into her high school friend, Erin, and her wonderful family.
Little Johnny is so cute!

Abe spent some time with Erin's older son, William, who decided to find a table of his own.

We could hear our train boarding call.  Time to go!

 Waiting in line...

 Joyful anticipation...

Grandfather, father, and son...I sure do love these three!

 Here we go!

 Taking it all in.

We think Abe is ready for a longer train ride with a dining car.

Noah and Amy are definitely the best of parents.

The ride seemed shorter this year.
Time for a snack!
I smiled when I saw all the children holding on to the rope.

In the Food Tent...
Abe was thirsty and his dad picked out some juice for him.

Abe was more interested in what Grandpa Joe was carrying in.

 Oh yeah!

And then there was Mommy's chocolate milkshake!

It was the best of times and I feel so blessed to have been a part of this very special day...
