A Doll Family Hittyville Adventure

The Doll Family sat down to their traditional Saturday lunch which includes sandwiches and cupcakes. Ginny and Betsy were in charge of baking the cupcakes today.

Dad announces he has a surprise for his girls...

But Mom insists lunch needs to be eaten and the table cleared first.

A bit later...
Dad has put the final coat of varnish on the sailboat the girls helped their father build.
The Doll Family all agree the sailing vessel is quite beautiful!
Ginny and Betsy want to take the boat outside to the Hittyville Pond and see how she sails.

Dad tells the girls to make sure they wear their raincoats because it is raining.

At Hittyville Pond...
Not only is it raining, but the winds are too strong for their little sailboat.
Betsy has an idea.

Back indoors...
There are all kinds of ways for a boat to sail!

  1. What a fun traditional Saturday lunch to have! Great sail boat, what a shame it was raining but the girls used their ingenuity I see and not all was lost.

    1. When I was growing up, my family often had Saturday Sandwich Lunches with a large choice of meats, cheeses, and then there were all those pickles! Happy Memories...
