Noah and Amy were off to Playhouse Square for a show and dinner over the weekend and Joe and I had the privilege of taking care of Abe!
We took our grandson to lunch at McDonald's...his first time inside the Golden Arches...and were excited to treat him to his first ever Happy Meal!
Abe was thrilled because the toy was a truck!
Our next stop was Target where we told Abe he could pick out whatever he wanted. That little guy spent a good half hour picking out "a few things".
We just loved watching how conscientious he was about his choices.
Back home...
Abe was in constant motion with excitement over his new toys.
The yellow truck and worm car in the background were given to Abe by one of their many policeman neighbors.
Abe had fun putting his ducks in the pond.
We sang "Old MacDonald" MANY times using the little farm animals he picked out at Target.
Abe waited patiently while Joe opened up the last package which contained Elephant...Abe's new best friend.
Problem solving aka playing...
We decided to play outside for a bit and Daniel Tiger and Elephant joined us.
Time for a walk...

And then...
Mommy and Daddy returned and the little family was together again...
It was the BEST of times and thank you to Noah and Amy for giving us the opportunity to spend time with our beloved Abester!
That is one very lucky little boy, and he sure looks like he is having a whale of a time with his toys, both old and new. I love seeing how he is growing!
