Billy and Susan are beloved characters in this wonderful story.
Of course, Hitty Susan also has Hitty in her name because she is a Hitty...as is her new mother.
Milly-Mollie-Mandy is actually the little girl in the story who experiences many happy adventures with her best friends, Billy and Susan.
The orphanage matron must have decided to split up the names for the three little girls who just happen to be triplets!
She was obviously a big fan of the book.
The children all agree they love their names and are eager to have their mother read them the storybook.
