Wow!!! Cassi and Pat have been hosting this family event for FIFTEEN years!
Everyone in our family looks forward to this special time together...It is the best of traditions!
We were all so excited to have our California Family join us...Kristen, Travis, and of course, Elliott!
Abe was taking a good, hard look at Elliott's car.
And then...
Abe got a surprise present of his own.
Thank goodness...
Elliott entertained us all with the Hokey Pokey and later everyone joined in and sang "The Wheels on the Bus".
Christmas with small children is pure magic.
Our Ohio weather was unseasonably warm and Abe wanted to go outside.
So...We all went outside!
I love the parallel play of two year olds.
Elliott loves his trucks!
After the Clam Chowder course...
Abe was wondering what Cassi was about to announce...
Cassi thought we would start a new tradition...The Lobster Bowl...in honor of my mom and dad, who were treated to lobster on Christmas Eve in their later years. Cassi decided to hold a raffle for 2 lobsters and Johnny chose the winning tickets. Jimmy and Sonja were the lucky winners and the rest of us were quite happy with the outstanding crab and shrimp!
This year, there were 3 tables!
We are all so grateful for Cassi and Pat's awesome hospitality!
Catching up...
It was fun visiting with my cousin, Christine. She is a talented photographer and all around great woman!
Our newest family member, Brianna...who is Anna's daughter...really caught Abe's attention.
There is nothing quite as precious as children and babies interacting with one another.
Corey and Johnny were relaxing before their big Christmas dinner celebration.
Jessie...John F's girlfriend...is a sweetheart.
Rupa and Mike spent some time with Brianna. Their daughter, Priya, was busy playing in the rec room.
Noah and John F. were discussing John's new job as a police officer.
The desserts were served and everyone was happy and full.
Cassi outdid herself...once again!
~Thank you, Sister~
And then...
It was time to head home...Abe wanted to play "Road Trip" with Grandpa Joe before we traveled back to the Farm.
Brooke and Scott spent the evening with Scott's family, and although we missed them, we know they had a special time as well.
~It was the best of Christmas Eve's~
